ABOUT ARCHIVE
Women’s History Archive is an online database of knowledge about the history of women in Poland. You will find, among others, biographies of emancipatory activists and other important figures in the history of women in Poland, descriptions of places of importance to women's emancipation movement, the women's routes all around Poland, as well as descriptions of her-storic initiatives implemented in various Polish cities, towns and villages.
Women's History Archive creates several organizations and groups gathered in the network of social initiatives working in the field of women's history. Women's Space Foundation is the administrator of the Archive.
ABOUT WOMEN'S SPACE FOUNDATION
Women’s Space started to act as an informal group in March 2006. It was registered as a foundation in October 2007.
Our statutory aims are: to act on behalf of gender equality, to counteract discrimination, especially gender-based and sexual orientation-based discrimination, to educate about history of women and history of feminism, to support women as agents participating in democratic processes, to support creative activities of women. Our mission is to open the space for women and build the open and diverse society through education, cooperation and promotion of equality and diversity.
We've been running our her-storic programme Krakow Women's Trail since 2008.
